Universal Halloween Horror Nights
Universal urge parents to
use their discretion, as these nights might be too scary for children and even
for some adults. For this reason they do not offer a child's ticket option.
There is a separate ticket for this event and is not included in your park
admission ticket or pass. Admission is about $70; tickets can also be purchase
in advance. Apparently you can also buy a Frequent Fear Pass for the same price
and this gives you 13 Nights (on specified dates) for the price of one.
Halloween Horror Nights Express Pass allows you to bypass the regular queues at
all haunted houses, plus participating rides and attractions. With each Express
Pass, you are allowed one entry to each participating Express attraction.
Supplies of these Passes are limited so best to purchase them in advance. I am
not sure of the exact cost of these.
If you have been to the Park during the day and you decide to stay on for the
evening you can upgrade to a Stay And Scream ticket, which costs approx $50. You are not allowed to wear costumes, make-up or masks and anyone doing so will
not be allowed in the park. Guests are required to pass through metal detectors
at the entrance.
The Nights usually take place from late September and finish in early November
just after Halloween.
In 2007 there were eight haunted houses:
A Nightmare on Elm Street – go through the door and come face to face with the
nightmare man.
Psychoscareapy: Home for the Holidays – when a transport bus containing the most
crazed residents of the now infamous local hospital overturns the occupants claw
their way out of the twisted wreckage.
Vampyr: Blood Bath – The creatures inside want to paint the town red, blood red!
Jack’s Funhouse in Clown-O-Vision – Follow the winding twists and turns that
lead you on a seemingly unending maze featuring more crazed clowns than they
could ever imagine.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre- Flesh Wounds – Guests trapped inside the Hewitt
family home are terrorised by Leatherface and his family of freaks.
Friday the 13th: Camp Blood – Visitors take a tour of the abandoned remains of
Camp Crystal Lake – and then something moves in the woods.
The Thing- where a containment unit containing bio-hazardous evidence from
Outpost 31 unexpectedly opens and someThing escapes.
Dead Silence: The Curse of Mary Shaw –The ghost of the evil ventriloquist
searches for fresh victims to create the perfect doll.
The Shows include:
Jack’s Carnival Of Carnage – You join the clown master and his assistants, Tiny
and Chance for this terror-filled show.
Freak Show – You will witness the gut-wrenching entertainment of the Enigma – a
tattooed performer whose body is a canvas of torture.
Bill & Ted’s Excellent Halloween Adventure – Join Bill and Ted for an adventure
featuring a who’s who of notorious celebrity guest stars.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show - A Tribute - Clips from classic cult film with
your favourite transvestite.
If you get time the usual dining locations are open as are the shops.
We have not been to one of these nights but Guests at our villa went a couple of
years ago and loved it so much one of the party stayed home with the teenagers
on a second night whilst all the adults returned to Universal!.
