We always do that route as well Linda, we like it because on the way back we have a 'free' stopover as we take time out to drive north to Connecticate to visit my brother.

So long as your not a big shopper and bring megga amounts back in your case as the luggage allowance isn't great, but we manage.

xx

Hi John

Sorry I missed your post earlier - wasnt ignoring you!

We thought the flight from Bristol to Newark to Orlando was great. We went on the 10th December and although we got held up in Newark for an hour while they de-iced the plane it was all in all a very good journey. The return was also very good - we caught the 3 something from Orlando which gave us time to have a leisurely meal in Newark before we took off again.

We caught the train from Totnes to Bristol and back again which worked well. We all agreed that we didnt feel so tired when we got back - I think not having to do that journey from Gatwick is a real bonus.

We did consider flying from Plymouth to Bristol but it would mean such an early start for us as we have to allow virtually an hour to get to Plymouth airport.

We have booked the same flight for next December and are wishing we were doing the same in July but had already booked from Gatwick. We will be flying from Plymouth to Gatwick then though and stay the night before.

In short out of choice we would do the Bristol flight - this trip we have just done also worked out £1000 cheaper for the 4 of us. December 2010 was also very comparable price wise.

Nicky

 Hi Nicky

Sounds like the Continental flights from Bristol are the way to go.

We've done the flight Plymouth to Gatwick, stay overnight and then leave next morning many times. It is the best alternative to going from Bristol by the sounds of it.

Just waiting for May to arrive...it can't come round soon enough as we didn't get to go out in November.

John
