Debbie the only arrow I can see takes you to the next topic. I want to be able to read the latest post in a thread i.e number 16 post without having to scroll through 1 to 15 first.

Hi, you can't change the display order, but before you click on the topic if you see multiple pages indictaed (a small page symbol with 1, 2, 3 ) next to it; you can click on 3 and it will take you to the last page of the thread.
Or if you are on page 1, at the bottom of the page you have Next, Prev and Last page jump options as well.

I must be misunderstanding your question .
From the active topics menu if you click on the page numbers near the title post it takes you to the top of that page. But if you click on the arrow to the right of the screen (near the name of the person who posted last) it definitely takes you to the last post!
